The Baby Business: Policy Proposals for Fairer Practice

In 2008, E.J. Graff wrote an amazing article called “The Lie We Love” about corruption in international adoption. The work went further through the Schuster Institute for Investigative Journalism, where a catalog of information was published, including an interactive¬†map showing information about adoption and adoption corruption from countries around the world.

Graff just wrote a follow-up article called “The Baby Business: Policy Proposals for Fairer Practice.” It’s lengthy and in-depth, but absolutely worth the read. Please check it out.

(I was actually interviewed for this one, although I didn’t make the cut. Oh well. It’s still worth reading!)

Edited to add: E.J. just left a comment saying I was actually interviewed for her NEXT article. Maybe I will make it the cut!

  1. Actually, Tracy, I interviewed youfor the NEXT one, still unfinished. Thank you for the help–and for the link. Please also notice that we’ve posted a footnoted version of the article on our website.
    Best, E.J.
