Vietnamese nail down the U.S. manicure business

I had always wondered why so many nail salons seemed to be owned by Vietnamese families. All four of the nail salons I have been in since we started the process for Zoe’s adoption in 2006 are Vietnamese. Still, I thought maybe it was just a coincidence and I was weary of perpetuating a stereotype, so I thought this article in the LA Times last week was very interesting:
