• About:

I swore I would never drive a minivan, so I went through a bit of an identity crisis when we finally broke down and bought one. But now I've decided to get over myself, and fully embrace my life as a suburban, minivan-driving, Mommy Blogger. Since my family rocks, and my family and the minivan are a package deal, I am hereby declaring that My Minivan Rocks!

This blog is about so much more than my minivan; It's about the three beautiful kids who fill the carseats in my minivan. Christian and I were married in May 2003. After fertility treatments, our son Noah was born to us in January 2006. Our daughter Zoe was born in November 2006 in Phu Tho, Vietnam, and came home when she was four-months-old. Colin is our baby boy. He was born in July 2008 and came home when he was two-days-old through domestic adoption.

We never planned to have our children THIS close together (we are probably the only people on the planet who can say they had two adoptions happen more quickly than expected), but we are enjoying our crazy new life!

  1. Hi Tracy,
My 32 yr old son is the Associate Editor for a website CNN is creating. He blogs quite a bit and forwarded me your blog suggesting your writing style is a lot like mine. I have a blog called: http://alainaslife.wordpress.com and although it’s pretty basic at this stage, I have received a lot of positive feedback. I have read over your blog and enjoy your sense of humor as well as your high level of integrity and subject matter. My youngest son, now 27 yrs old, is adopted and he has been a blesssing in my life. Previously to adopting him at 10 days old through Children’s Home Society, we (my ex-husband) and I had adopted a baby girl through an open adoption. After almost six months, the biological 15 yr old mother changed her mind and the baby was taken from me. I also had a 13 yr old Korean foster daughter for a year that I wanted to adopt but she was unable to bond at that time. That’s a whole story of itself.
Anyway, I would love to receive a password from you so I could read more of your posts.
If you wouldn’t mind I would love to post a link on my blog to your blog. I have several readers who have also adopted and have young children and grandchildren they are raising.
Hoping to hear back from you soon.
    God Bless you.
    Alaina
